School, ok reform: in 159 voting yes. Senate chaos erupts – The Messenger

The government obtained 159 votes in favor, against 112. No abstained. Senators voters were 271. So the decision on the reform at the school now goes to the House. Acceleration that has sparked protests of the opposition, who were challenging times and about the measure.

The Minister for Relations parliament Maria Elena Boschi had placed confidence (in the morning) in the House in the Senate on the maxi amendment substitute of the bill to reform the school.

The Senate president, Pietro Grasso, after the question of confidence placed by the Minister had suspended the classroom and called the conference of leaders.

The bill of school reform includes 100 thousand recruitment immediately and slippage direct call teachers by principals next year, to allow the new organic into service as early as the reopening of schools in September.

At dawn organizations trade union and the Union of Students staged a series of raids to the Ministry of Education and other sights of the city, announcing new initiatives to combat since the start of the next school year against school reform.

“The garrisons and events in the House and the Senate there have been almost daily – make a note of the students – with a success of participation and consensus enriched

from an ongoing dialogue with parliamentarians who shared the reasons for the proposed initiatives and protest. The government however, while promising many times the contrary, it is subtracted from each

comparison by placing confidence in the Senate and proceeding without regard to the net dissent school, student associations, parents, trade unions and the same parliament. Italian democracy is undergoing a stretch to serious and unacceptable. The Government Renzi wants to impose by force an act of a measure that has never taken into account the needs and voices of the real country. “

” The result is a reform that is likely to increase inequalities already present at ‘interior of the national education system, based on a model autocratic and patronage. A school chasing

competition instead of pursuing cooperation guarantees equal opportunities for all. ”
