Renzi sets the reform agenda: January 31 Italicum and new … – The Messenger

All confirmed. How IlMessaggero.it had anticipated two days ago, the new date cornerstone of Italian politics is 31 January.
This was confirmed this morning Prime Minister Matteo Renzi during a meeting with the senators of the Democratic Party. .

The new target date assumes a particular importance because approval (though not definitive) in a branch of the parliament of the two reforms will be the last political appointment of weight before the election of the new Head of State – will be confirmed if the rumors of resignation to Napolitano around mid-January – should take place in February 2015.

It is said, however, that the government’s plans will be respected. Whether on ITER dell’Italicum than on the new constitution (which as you know includes a new unelected Senate) there are plenty of obstacles. Electoral reform must dribble the 12 000 amendments especially by the Northern League. The discussion on the reform of the Constitution, however, appears less bumpy. A hand pieces of parties who support or pieces of Pd and Forza Italy, do not want to measure your weight in view of the election of the Head of State. But here we enter a new chapter, and for now it is worth simply recording on the calendar the dead line of 31 January. It ‘s too early to predict what the weather will do at the end of next month.
