School House approves reform, passed in the Senate – Reuters Italy


       

ROME (Reuters) – The Chamber of Deputies approved the bill for school reform that provides for the hiring of 100,000 temporary teachers and gives more powers to the school leaders, despite the protests of trade unions.

“Excited and satisfied for the okay,” he tweeted Education Minister Stefania Giannini immediately after the vote.


       

About 30 members of the minority Democratic Party did not participate in the final vote as a sign of dissent, and in a joint statement calling on the party to commit to new changes in the Senate.
