ROMA (Reuters) – It has solved the problem with radar control systems in Rome today that created disruption to air traffic in the Tyrrhenian, although there are still delays, reports the National Authority for Air Navigation Services ( ENAV).
“The slowdown of the systems, which lasted about an hour, was resolved. There has been some diversion to other airports and some delays,” said a spokeswoman for ENAV, adding that “it is still a few more uncomfortable” for passengers .
“Security, however, has always been guaranteed” during the slowdown of the systems began around 13:30, said the spokesman.
The Area Control Centre in Rome manages the portion of airspace on the Tyrrhenian, to Sardinia.
Last week a fire at the airport of Fiumicino has had serious repercussions on air traffic.
