The German chancellor, accompanied by her husband Joachim Sauer, was greeted on his arrival by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi with his wife Agnese Landini and sole commissioner of the Universal Giuseppe Sala. Angela Merkel visited the pavilion before Zero, then the German, smiling to the many photographers and tourists flocked to the occasion.
