A man died in the fire at a warehouse in disuse in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence) used as a refuge from a hundred somali. The man was the most serious of the three injured in the fire that broke out yesterday evening in the shed that once housed the former mobilificio Aiazzone. The property is occupied by non-eu citizens by approximately two years.
The man, 35-year-old, non-eu, was found by firefighters inside of the building. Its conditions were deemed to be immediately critical and had long been revived. Then the ride to the hospital, but to no avail.
after the fire, it was decided that fit two large tents in the nearby piazza Marconi to accommodate people who were left without accommodation, it’s all about eighty immigrants, mostly somali. The mayor of the Sixth, also reached him via Avogadro, has contacted the neighbouring municipalities and the prefect to find a solution for the reception.
But the occupants do not want to move away or be split. Dozens of the immigrants have stayed near to the building where they are erupted the flames that have made a dead man while the other two people ended up in the hospital because intoxicated: both would not be serious.
Continued in the meantime, the intervention of the fire brigade: virtually extinguished the flames. The tests so far have ruled out that inside there might be someone else. On the spot also took part in the carabinieri, traffic police, police and civil protection, that has distributed blankets and warm drinks given the temperatures, and the health sent from the 118. The building, which once housed the mobilificio Aiazzone, was occupied in December 2014 by a fifty immigrants, of all, as explained at the time by the Movement of the struggle for the house, refugees, asylum-seekers who had been housed for some months in a local shelter.
