There’s a given that the election of Sergio Mattarella confirms the strength of Matteo Renzi parallel and mirror to the defeat of the center, Silvio Berlusocni and Angelino Alfano. A harakiri that could be avoided, or at least mitigated if he had responded to Renzi with the same speed with which the prime minister has displaced them. Berlusconi and Alfano, knew as early as Wednesday that the secretary of the Democratic Party of there a few hours to her that the party’s candidate was Mattarella, that there was no possibility for other hypotheses.
