Avalanche overwhelms hikers in the Julian Alps, there are woundedA group of eight hikers from friuli was swept away by an avalanche in the area of Sella Nevea (Udine), in the Julian Alps. Six of them have remained unharmed, while two were swept away in the mass of snow; one, impressed only partially, has been wounded in one leg while the other, completely overwhelmed, was extracted in serious condition and underwent resuscitation by rescuers.

According to preliminary information, the group would be increased autonomy for a classic route, but outside the ski slopes, closed for lack of snow. Passing under a rocky area would have been hit by snow.
